Hapkido

Hapkido includes a vast variety of arm an leg joint locks, weapon

techniques, throw, kick, hit, and nerve pressure techniques.

Hapkido is no martial sport but a martial art, which is outstandingly

suitable for self-defense. It can be learned both by men and by women, regardless of their age.

Hap - means "together" and means the harmony of body and spirit

Ki - defines the life and body energy.

Do - means "way of life, way of learning".

Hapkido is especially powerful because when attacked you attack the

weakest part of the opponent's body with a stronger means, namely attacking the arteries, veins, nerves, organs and weak areas thereby altering the opponent to your advantage.

At the moment of attack, through a special breathing attack called Dan Jon Ho Hop, total concentration of your body to a certain point, produces extraordinary power when striking the target.  This combined with proper

timing can be fatal to your adversary.

Estonian Hapkido Federation has been officially registrered on November 27th, 1999.

The President of Estonian Hapkido Federation is Oleg Kim (Taekwondo WTF - 4 dan,

Hapkido WHF - 5 dan and Hapkido IHF- 1 dan).
